What to Expect During Treatment
Your first step is always a consultation with a skilled healthcare provider. Our nurses are highly trained professionals who have extensive experience with aesthetic treatments. During a consultation, we’ll review your goals and help you pick the best treatment option to get you there. We will also discuss your medical history, allergies, and any other concerns that could impact the results of your treatment.
During your appointment, fillers are injected into the target areas. This only takes a few seconds, and you’ll experience some mild discomfort. You’ll see results immediately after the injection. However, you may also notice some side effects such as swelling or bruising. These should subside within a day or two, and you’ll see the end result.
How Long Do Results Last?
On average, dermal fillers last one to two years, depending on the treatment area, the type of filler you used, and how many units were injected. Age and lifestyle factors can also impact the length of results. Over time, the hyaluronic acid in your fillers is broken down and reabsorbed into your body. Fillers in the lip tend to break down faster, with results lasting from 6 to 18 months. To maintain your results, book your next filler appointment and repeat the treatment every one to two years.
